UPSC Civil Sevices 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Mains exam schedule for UPSC Civil Services 2022. UPSC Civil Sevices 2022: Mains Exam Date and Timings
 
According to the schedule released by the Commission on the official website, the UPSC Civil Services Mains exam will take place on September 16, 17, 18, 24 and 25, 2022. The exam will unfold in two sessions; forenoon session and afternoon session. The forenoon session will commence at 9 am and will conclude at 12 pm. Following this, the afternoon session will begin at 2 pm and will end at 5 pm.
 
UPSC Civil Sevices 2022: Mains Exam Pattern
 
The UPSC Civil Services Mains exam 2022 will encompass 7 papers, all of which will be descriptive in nature. Paper A and Paper B, i.e. Language paper and English paper will be qualifying in nature, while all other subject papers shall be evaluated.
 
Other subjects that the candidate is required to attempt in the Mains exam are as follows:

1. Paper I- Essay
2. Paper II- General Studies I
3. Paper III- General Studies II
4. Paper IV- General Studies III
5. Paper V- General Studies IV

Duration of all the papers will be 3 hours. It is mandatory for candidates to secure at least 25 percent marks in individual papers to be declared qualified in the exam.
