The dates of the Government Degree College Examination 2017 has been revised by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC).
The exam has been postponed due to the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
The examination for the Government Degree College is conducted by the UPPSC for the recruitment of lecturers in government degree colleges.
The earlier dates for the exams were coinciding with polling for the seventh phase of general elections 2019 so the State Commission decided to change the lecturers' recruitment exam dates.
Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 19, 2019, however now the exam will be conducted on July 28, 2019, as per the revised dates.
Around 50,000 lectures were to appear for the screening examination as per the UPPSC secretary Jagdish.
