UPPSC Judicial Service Exam Online Registration Process
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will start the UPPSC Judicial Service Exam registration process on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. 

While the candidates make the online application on the UPPSC’s official website, the commission will the conduct provincial civil service prelims examination on December 16. 

The exam is also known as UP Judicial Service Civil Judges (Junior Division) exam or provincial civil service exam. The UPPSC Judicial Service Exam will be conducted in three stages.
Stage I - Preliminary 
Stage II - Mains
Stage III – Interview

Step 2: Go to the UPPSC Judicial Service Exam registration notification.
Step 3: Follow the instructions and apply accordingly.

Preliminary Exam (Objective type) Syllabus:


Paper I - General Knowledge
This paper will be of 150 marks and 2 hours duration.
The paper may include questions based on topics relating to History of India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, Current National Issues and topics of Social relevance, India and the world, Indian Economy, International Affairs and Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology, Communications and Space. 

Paper II - Law
This paper will be of 300 marks and 2 hours duration.

This paper will include day to day happenings around India and the world, particularly in Legal spheres, Acts and Laws.
(i) Jurisprudence
(ii) International Organizations
(iii) Current International Affairs
(iv) Indian Constitution
(v) Transfer of Property Act
(vi) Indian Evidence Act
(vii) Indian Penal Code
(viii) Civil Procedure Code
(ix) Criminal Procedure Code
(x) Law of Contract

Mains Preliminary Exam (Long and subjective type) Syllabus
Paper I - General Knowledge:
This paper will be of 200 marks.
This paper may include questions related to History of India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, Current National Issues and topics of Social relevance, India and the World, Indian Economy, International Affairs and Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology, Communications and Space.

Paper II - Language
This paper will be of 200 marks.
It shall comprise four questions as specified below:-
(i) Essay to be written in English -60 marks
(ii) English Précis writing -60 marks
(iii) Translation of passage from Hindi to English -40 marks
(iv) Translation of passage from English to Hindi -40 marks

Paper III -  Law-I (Substantive Law)
This paper will be of 200 marks.
The questions will be based on the law of contracts, the law of Partnership, the law concerning easements and torts, the Law relating to transfer of property including the principles of equity, specifically applicable thereto, the principal of Equity with special reference to the Law of trust and specific relief, Hindu Law and Mohammedan Law, and Constitutional Law.

Paper IV: Law II (Procedure and Evidence)
This paper will be of 200 marks.
Topics to be covered - the law of evidence, the Criminal Procedure Code and Code of Civil Procedure, including the principles of pleading. 

Paper V: Law III (Penal, Revenueand Local Laws)
This paper will be of 200 marks.
Topics to be covered -  Indian Penal Code, the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act 1951, Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act 1972. U.P. Municipalities Act, U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, U.P. Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973.
