Students Set To Appear For UP Board Exam 2018
UP Board Exams 2018
Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board, UPSEB is all set to conduct the UP Board Examinations for class X and XII from today, February 6, 2018.

“UP Board Exams begin today, CCTV cameras installed for inspection,” tweeted ANI.

While the high school exams will end on February 22, the class XII exams will end on March 10.

According to media reports, Section 144 has been imposed in Kanpur to check mass cheating.

"As many as 89,462 students will sit for the UP board exams of class X and class XII in Meerut district. As many as 109 exam centres have been finalized for holding the exams. This is a drop from 135 exam centres last year. The drop has been registered because the education department was able to detect over 5,000 fake private registrations," Sardaar Singh, District Inspector Of Schools (DIOS) Meerut was quoted saying.

Uttar Pradesh government has installed CCTV cameras in all government schools across the state.

“All examinations will be conducted under the watch of cameras. Buildings or premises that do not have cameras will not be made examination centres,” chief secretary Rajive Kumar told Hindustan Times earlier.

The decision comes following mass cheating reports during UP Board Exam 2017.

While the class X English exam was cancelled this year, the question paper was reportedly circulated via Whatsaap.
