Ensuring hassle-free board examination, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a raft of measures to stop mass cheating this year.
While CCTV cameras were installed at the examination centres, the decision was taken following mass cheating reports during UP Board Exam 2017.
In 2018, close to 15% of registered examinees did not turn up for board exam, which experts say may be result of strict anti-cheating measures and could lead to a dip in pass percentage.
Board records revealed the total count of examines having left exams include 6,24,473 of High School and 4,20,146 of Intermediate.
While the class X English exam was cancelled last year, the question paper was reportedly circulated via Whatsapp.
