To further check for discipline, the UP Board has also issued special instructions for students, highlighting the various dos and don’t’s for the examination.

UP Board 2020: Points to Keep in Mind Before the Exam

- Revise the notes before going for the exam. A last-minute recap of all the topics helps in recollecting information during the exam;
- Eat healthy breakfast before going for the exam. Do not go for the test on an empty stomach;
- Reach the exam hall at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the paper. Remember to carry the hall tickets/admit cards, stationery, cardboard along;
- Read the instructions very carefully before starting the exam;
- Before starting to write the test, wisely utilise the first 15 minutes in reading the question paper thoroughly;
- Write neatly, in clear handwriting, draw margins, leave proper gaps, etc. as presentation matters a lot.
- Do not waste time on a question, leave a gap for it and move on to the next one in case you are stuck on a topic.
- Be positive. Do not panic. Keep calm.

This year, the board has also introduced a Helpline number for student’s queries and stress management. Lending support and motivation, the UP Police have also launched an anti-noise helpline where students can call and ask for assistance against loud noises in the immediate neighbourhood.
