UP Board Academic Calendar 2022-23: What's New for Class 9 and 10?
The question paper for the students of Class 9 and 10 of UP board will comprise two sections. 30% marks will be carried by the Multiple choice questions in the first section, whereas 70% marks will be carried by the descriptive type questions, which will be asked in Section-II.
In other initiatives to fulfill the objectives of the National Education Policy, career counseling sessions will be organized in the schools. Additionally, various activities will also take place on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which will aim for the inculcation of National values among students and apprising them of the history of the nation.
Also, the 'School Chalo Abhiyaan' will be in force to keep the school dropout rate of the students in check and curb it.
Shedding more light on the new exam pattern, Secondary Education Minister of the state, Gulab Devi informed that for the first time, five tests will be organized on a monthly basis to assess the students' progress. As per this initiative, three exams will be based on the MCQ pattern while the remaining two exams will be based on the descriptive pattern.
UP Board Academic Calendar 2022-23: Entire course must be completed by January 20
The Secondary Education Minister asserted that the syllabus for Class 10 and 12 must be completed by January 20, 2023. After this, the Pre-board exams will be held for Class 10 and 12 in the third week of January 2023.
