This year, the Joint CSIR UGC NET will be conducted from 25 to 27 July 2024, and the NCET 2024 exam will be conducted on 10 July 2024. Both these exams are important for candidates seeking lectureships and research fellowships in Indian universities and research institutions.

Earlier this month, the UGC-NET exam on June 18 faced scrutiny after reports of a leaked question paper surfaced, prompting the Ministry of Education to cancel the examination the following day. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed during a press briefing that the decision was made to maintain the integrity of the examination.

The UGC NET June session exam was conducted on June 18 in two shifts, however, a day after the exam was canceled. The exam on June 18 was held in two shifts in over 317 cities for over 9 lakh candidates. Following a CBI investigation, it was revealed that the exam paper had been leaked on June 16, two days before the scheduled exam. The leak occurred over the darknet and other encrypted social media channels, with the paper being sold for over Rs 5,00,000.
