UGC NET 2022 Exam date: The UGC NET 2022 exam for the merged cycles of December 2021 and June 2022 will be held in the month of June. The exam will likely be held in the first or second week of June 2022. National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body for UGC NET, will release the complete schedule for the exam soon.
The announcement about the conduct of UGC NET 2022 exam was made by the Chairman of UGC, M Jagadesh Kumar on his official Twitter handle. Kumar, in his official Tweet, stated, 'For the merged cycles of December 2021 and June 2022, the next UGC NET exam shall be held in the first/second week of June 2022. After NTA finalizes the exam dates, the exact schedule will be announced.' The official tweet has been shared below for the reference of the candidates.

Meanwhile, candidates who are desirous of appearing in the UGC NET 2022 exam must visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in for information related to the same. As soon as the UGC NET 2022 schedule is released for the cycles of December 2021 and June 2022 by the National Testing Agency, the application window will open for the candidates on the aforementioned website.
It is noteworthy that the UGC NET exam is held twice every year. However, as the Covid-19 pandemic struck, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has landed on the decision to merge the cycles of the exam and conduct it once a year only. The UGC-led National Eligibility Test (NET) is held to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for the posts of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship or both, in several universities and colleges of the country.
