The  Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Detailed Medical Examinations (DME) for the SSC CPO, SI in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant SI in CISF 2018. The SSC has released an official notification related to the postponement of the exam on the Commission's website i.e. ssc.nic.in. The decision has come in the public interest to prevent transmission of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

As per the official notification, as a precautionary measure, in view of the emergent situation due to COVID-19, it has been decided by the Commission, in the larger public interest, to postpone the ongoing CPO Examination (Detailed Medical Examinations),2018 with effect from March 23, 2020.

The candidates who have to appear for the DME exam can visit the official website and check the latest updates.

A total of 7251 candidates have been shortlisted for a total of 4541 posts. Further, the result of 35 candidates has been withheld due to various court cases, as per the commission notice. Those who qualified for the test will now have to appear for the medical exam.

People may experience:
- runny nose
- sore throat
- dry cough
- fever
- difficulty in breathing (severe cases)

Wash your hands frequently- Clean hands frequently with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water
If you have a cold and cough- Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or flexed elbow
Maintain social distancing- Avoid close contact (1 metre or 3 feet) with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth-  Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth.
