A record number of over six lakh students would write the matriculation papers in an estimated 2737 examination centres across Odisha. The examinations, conducted for the first time in a different format, would conclude on March 11.

All arrangements for the examinations are over and the question papers for the first three papers have reached all centres by this evening, the Board of Secondary Education President D P Nanda said adding the rest of question papers would reach the Centres subsequently.

From the safety point of view, the question papers are now stored in nodal centres.

Similarly, elaborate arrangements have been made for a three-tier squad to keep a strong vigil to curb any unfair means by students during the tests, Nanda said.

While the district administration is responsible to provide a squad to ensure peaceful conduct of examination, the Board has taken care of two other squads, including a flying squad, he said.
