OTET 2018: The notification has been released by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), 2018.
The online application process will be commenced from November 12, 2018 at 8 am.
The applications will be received through online mode and no offline applications will be entertained.
The candidates interested to appear for the examination can apply online till November 27, 2018, as the application process ends on this date by 11:45 pm.
The fees has to be deposited by the candidates through SBI Collect either in the online mode or offline mode latest by 11:45pm of November 27, 2018.

Educational Criteria
The candidates who are interested for appearing for OTET, must possess requisite academic and training qualification with requisite percentage of marks.
OTET is applicable to all the candidates who are pursuing the final year of the teacher training courses before the date of publication of advertisement for conducting OTET who aspire to become teachers for Class 1 to Class 8 in the schools of the State Government, private aided schools private unaided schools in the State of Odisha.
Paper Pattern for OTET 2018
The exam for OTET 2018 consists of two papers.
Paper I
The candidates will be provided with a total of two and half hours of time for this paper.
All the OTET questions for this paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Each correct question will fetch one mark each.
The question paper for the non- language subjects will be bilingual i.e. in Odia and English.
Paper II
The candidates will be provided with a total of two and half hours of time for this paper.
All the OTET questions for this paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Each correct question will fetch one mark each.
The question paper for the non- language subjects will be bilingual i.e. in Odia and English.
The languages offered for the papers will be Odia, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali.
The candidates appearing for the exam has to choose any one of the above languages for Language – I subject.
For the Language – II subject, this will be English for all candidates.
There will not be any negative marking for this exam.
