COVID-19 Lockdown 3.0: NISER National Entrance Screening Test 2020 Registration Date Extended

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneshwar has again extended the application process date for NEST 2020. The last date for online application has been extended upto May 31, 2020. Earlier the last date to apply for the National Entrance Screening Test 2020 was May 06. 

The decision has been taken by the authorities due to the coronavirus pandemic and country-wide lockdown, The candidates interested to appear for the exam, can visit the official website and apply in the online mode.
 

NEST 2020 Revised Dates:

  • Start of Online application: January 07, 2020
  • Closing of Online application: April 19, 2020 (Old)
  • Last Date of Online Application: May 06, 2020 (Old)
  • Revised Last Date of Online Application: May 31, 2020

NEST 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who wish to apply for the exam must have at least 60 percent marks in class 12 or equivalent. Admission will be based on merits.

NEST 2020 Application Fees:
  • The candidates who wish to apply for the exam will have to deposit a total of Rs 1200 as application fees.
  • This fee is applicable to the candidates who belong to the unreserved and OBC category.
  • For the candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, PWD category, and the female candidates will have to deposit a total of Rs 600 as an application fee.
 

NEST 2020: How to fill the application form

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. nestexam.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click ‘apply online’
Step 3: Click on ‘get registered’, those who have registered may directly log-in
Step 4: Fill basic information and submit
Step 5: Log-in using the registration number
Step 6: Fill form, upload images
Step 7: Make payment
 
NEST 2020 Exam Pattern:  
 
NEST 2020 will be a computer-based test (CBT) which will consist of multiple-choice questions. The exam will consist of five sections, the sections will be MC- based. The mode of the language of the question paper will be English only.
 
Section 1: This section will be the General Section which will carry 30 marks. Merit list will be created on the basis of this section.

Section 2 to 5: All the sections will consist of subject-specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Each section will carry 50 marks. The best three subject scores will be considered.
