The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an official notice instructing candidates to resign from allotted seats of Round-1 PG counselling. The decision has been taken keeping in view that many state counselling has been delayed due to COVID-19 outbreak and various court cases. The MCC has instructed candidates who have joined their allotted college of Round-1 both in online or in offline mode to resign from their joined seat by Friday, May 08, 2020 (upto 05:00 PM). 

According to the official notice, these seats will come back in the system for allotment in Round-2. Colleges are required to E-mail the resignation letter to such candidates. The official notice is available on the website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.

Earlier the NEET PG 2020 Counselling was commenced both in the online and offline mode April 20, 2020, by the MCC. The Round-1 State PG Counselling was scheduled to be held from April 20 to May 04, 2020.

Candidates are advised to resign from their joined seat either by visiting the official website or physically requesting the respective college in the stipulated time. The college will resign the seat online on intramcc.nic.in.

MCC has declined all the counselling events of the NEET PG 2020 due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country. Now the authorities have instructed the candidates to submit the resignation from allotted seats of Round-1 PG counselling.

Further, the schedule for Second Round counselling of All India Quota and State Counselling will be informed later after the lockdown ends.

As per the previous schedule, the first round of counselling seat allotment was scheduled to be done on March 25 and 26, 2020. While the result was scheduled to be announced on March 27, 2020, which has now been postponed till further orders.

The examination for NEET PG 2020 was conducted on January 5, 2020, and the result was announced on February 6, 2020. The general category cut off score this year was 366. 

NEET PG 2020 exam is conducted for admission to MD/MS courses in various medical colleges across India. The exam was conducted for a total of 19953 MD seats, 10821 MS seats, 1979 Diploma seats and 1338 DNB seats in all medical colleges of India.
