About NEET PG:
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG), is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study postgraduate medical courses (MD, MS) in government or private medical colleges in India.
It is the only single examination for admission to postgraduate MD/MS/Diploma courses. No other exam will be valid. This exam is planned to replace by NEXT within the next 3 years. It is currently conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
NEET PG - Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to possess an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognised college/university.
NEET PG - Exam pattern
The Computer Based Test (CBT) comprises of 300 multiple-choice questions.
In NEET-PG, the question paper is divided into 3 parts:
Part A has 50 questions,
Part B has 100 questions,
Part C has 150 questions.
4 marks are awarded for each correct answer, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. No marks are deducted if the candidate has not attempted a question. The total time duration is of 3 hours 30 min.
