KSET 2024: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is going to close the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2024 registration window today. Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. to fill up the KSET 2024 registration form. The KSET 2024 exam will be conducted on 24 November 2024 in a single shift i.e. from 10 am to 1 pm. 

The KSET 2024 exam will be held in offline mode. Candidates are required to mark their answers for both paper 1 and paper 2 on the Optical Marks Reader (OMR) Sheet provided with the test booklet. The duration of the KSET 2024 exam is 3 hours. 

Question paper 1 comprises 50 mandatory objective-type questions, each worth 2 marks. These questions are general, aiming to evaluate the candidate's teaching and research aptitude. The focus will be on testing reasoning skills, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. 

However, the KSET 2024 paper 2 will include 100 mandatory objective-type questions, each carrying 2 marks, based on the subject chosen by the candidate.

KSET 2024: Application fees

According to the official schedule, the last date to pay the application fees for KSET 2024 is 30 August 2024. Candidates are required to pay the application fee to complete the KSET 2024 registration process according to their category. Candidates from general, Cat-IIА, ІІВ, ІІIА, ІІІВ and another state will pay Rs 1,000 while candidates belonging to the Cat-I, SC, ST, PwD and Transgender categories will pay Rs 700 as an application fee. 

KSET 2024: Eligibility criteria

The candidates from the general category are required to score a minimum of 55 percent marks and Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Transgender and Other Backward Classes (OBC), specifically Category-I, Category-IIA, Category-IIB, Category-IIIA and Category-IIIB are required to secure at least 50 percent marks in a master’s degree or equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi, in the subjects opted for KSE. There is no upper age limit for KSET 2024.
