Karnataka DCET 2024: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has reopened the registration window for the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) 2024. Candidates who have not submitted their application forms can visit the official website i.e. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
DCET 2024 is a state-level selection entrance examination for students wishing to seek admission to the second-year/third-semester engineering programs under the lateral entry scheme and to first-year architecture diploma programs at institutes across Karnataka for the academic year 2024-2025.
The candidates must note that the application window for this exam will remain open till 23 May 2024. This exam is expected to be held in September this year. According to the official notice, “On the request of the students, the date is extended to register for DCET 2024 to become eligible for admission to 2nd year, 3rd-semester engineering courses.”

The candidates are required to pay application fees according to the category. Candidates from the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 650 to register for the DCET 2024. Candidates from reserved categories will pay Rs 500. The Karnataka DCET 2024 fee payment window will close on May 24.
Karnataka DCET 2024: Eligibility criteria
For Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses
Candidates should have passed a diploma examination or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in all subjects of the final year of the diploma examination.
For scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), and backward classes candidates from Karnataka, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
For the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) course:
Candidates should have taken the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) administered by the Council of Architecture and obtain a minimum of 40% marks in NATA.
The candidates are required to pay application fees according to the category. Candidates from the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 650 to register for the DCET 2024. Karnataka DCET 2024: How to apply?
- Firstly candidates need to visit the official website i.e. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
- Then click on the 'Diploma CET 2024' link available on the home page.
- Complete the registration process and fill out the application form.
- Upload the required documents and pay the application fees.
- At last, submit the form and download the page.
- Candidates can also take a printout of the same for future reference.
