JEE Main Registration Process To Start Tomorrow
JEE Main 2019
National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to start receiving applications for JEE Main from tomorrow, September 1, 2018.

While JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board, JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. 

Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education had conducted the JEE Main.

How to register?
The simple application process is given below.
Step 1: Visit jeemain.nic.in.
Step 2: Go to the notification mentioning JEE Main registration process. 
Step 3: Read instructions and submit application.   

Eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2019

Date of Birth 

Candidate should be born on or after October 1, 1994.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), must have been born on or after October 1, 1989 to be eligible for JEE Main. Candidates of these categories have been given a relaxation of 5 years.

Note: Date of birth will be considered as mentioned in the Secondary Education Board/ University certificate.

Pass percentage: The eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019 does not specify any pass percentage for appearing in the exam.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has notified following two changes in the JEE pattern from 2017:

1.     There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.

2.     For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Until this year, the exam was conducted in both, pen-paper and computer-based mode. 
NTA will be conducting JEE Main twice a year. 
The student must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects. 
NTA would also conduct National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test(GPAT).
