Jamia Millia Islamia’s Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) has started coaching classes for Staff Selection Commission (CGL) and BEd and ETE entrance exams for the students belonging to minority community.
Recently, an orientation programme was arranged for 200 selected students in the seminar hall of the coaching center.
Registrar of JMI -- AP Siddiqui (IPS) was the chief guest.
Faculties who will be taking coaching classes in Mathematical Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and English Comprehension were also present on the occasion.
Coordinator Academics HA Arfi, IAS, Retd was also present to supervise the programme.
In the business session of the orientation programme, the faculties had interaction with students, briefing them in general, about the methodology to be adopted by them during the entire coaching programme which would include class lectures, discussions, exercises, and periodical tests.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs (MMA), Government of India has assigned coaching for these three courses to RCA, JMI.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has made it to the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2019.
The university has been ranked 801-1000 this year out of 1250 institutions across the world. This is the second time the university is featuring in the coveted list.
JMI has improved its score from previous THE ranking in all the five parameters: teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook.
These parameters are constituted of 13 metrics each. Teaching, industry income and citations were found to be the strongest pillars while making the assessment for JMI.
