The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay or IIT Bombay has released the Information Brochure for the GATE 2021 session. As per the official announcement, the registration process for GATE 2021 will start from September 14, 2020. All eligible and interested candidates can fill the application form upto September 30. While the application window will also be opened till October 07 by paying late fees charges.
The application form will be available online on the official website of the GATE at gate.iitb.ac.in. Earlier the IIT Bombay announced the exam date for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE.
The GATE 2021 entrance examination has been scheduled to be conducted over February 5-7 and February 12-13, 2021. The admit card for the entrance exam will be issued to all the registered candidates on January 8.

The Institute has introduced some changes to the eligibility criteria. The changes have been made by the organising team led by Professors Deepankar Choudhury, Upendra Bhandarkar and Mohd. Aslam of IIT Bombay.
GATE 2021: Relaxation In Eligibility criteria
According to the new eligibility criteria, students in the third year of their undergraduate programmes will also be eligible for GATE now.
As per the IIT Bombay statement “Eligibility criteria to appear for GATE-2021 is relaxed from the minimum 10+2+4 (ongoing) to minimum 10+2+3 (ongoing), enabling even those in the third year of their undergraduate studies to appear for the examination, thus providing an additional opportunity to candidates to improve their performance to secure better career options”.
