Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Wednesday cancelled the Class 12 computer theory examination after its paper was found to have questions from the old course.

The examinations were held on Wednesday and the board has said that re-examination will be done in first week of April.

"We found that out of the 100 marks question paper for the computer theory subject of Class 12, questions of 80 marks were from the old course. Therefore re-examination of the same subject will be undertaken in the first week of April," GSHSEB Chairman R R Varsani told PTI.

Though the syllabus of the computer theory subject changed in June last year, only question of 20 marks were asked from the new syllabus, he said.

The decision was taken after Class 12 students who appeared for the examination today, protested against the Gujarat education board''s gaffe in various schools in the state.
