"The National Testing Agency (NTA) has now decided to conduct the medical entrance exam NEET UG, which was postponed in view of the law and order situation in Manipur, on any date between June 3 and 5," said a statement issued by the NTA on Friday. Additionally, the National Testing Agency has also released the tentative re-exam schedule for CUET UG and PG 2023.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) stated on Friday that the CUET UG exam will be conducted from June 5 to June 8, and the CUET PG exam will be conducted from June 5 to June 17 in the state of Manipur. The NTA has carefully reviewed the law and order situation in consultation with the state administration of Manipur, and the state government has decided to provide test centers to the candidates for NEET UG, CUET UG, and CUET PG, said Sadhna Parashar, Senior Director at NTA.
He added that the option to change the city for the examination is also available to those candidates in Manipur who have not appeared or missed NEET UG and CUET UG due to the law and order situation, regardless of whether they have downloaded their admit card or not. Manipur has witnessed violence over the move to accord Scheduled Tribe status to the majority Meitei community in the state. Naga and Kuki tribals opposing the plan organized a 'Tribal Solidarity March,' following which violent clashes broke out. The NEET UG exam was conducted across the country on May 7, while the CUET UG began on May 21.
