On June 22, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri met with DU authorities to propose the establishment of a college for rural students in south Delhi. The varsity tweeted about the discussion, stating, "Ramesh Bidhuri, Member of Parliament, visited DU to review progress on the establishment of a rural college in south Delhi." He met with the VC, DSC, estate officer, Dean Works, and engineering department officers. He committed to assist DU in advancing this endeavour.”
Meanwhile, the start of DU Admissions 2021 is mired in controversy. With the cancellation of CBSE's 12th board exams in 2021, as well as other state boards' Class 12 exams, it is predicted that the admission process will be delayed slightly longer. The university has declared that it will wait for the CBSE 12th results to be released, as well as those of other state boards. According to a few reports, admissions to Delhi University may be delayed until July 31.
