Delhi CET 2020: Application Process Postponed, Latest Updates Here

The Directorate of Training and Technical Education (DTE) has postponed the release of the application form for Delhi Common Entrance Test (CET) 2020. The authorities have issued an official notice on the official website stating the delay in the application process due to the increase in the period of countrywide lockdown. Earlier the date of commencement of application was April 17 due to the 21 days lockdown implemented from March 24. Now the authority has announced to release the application form after May 03 due to lockdown 2.0. Due to the rapid increase in the cases of Coronavirus across the country, the central government further extended the lockdown period in the country.

Candidates who wish to appear for the Delhi CET 2020 can check the detailed notification available on the official website of Delhi CET at cetdelhi.nic.in.

Delhi CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Test 1: For candidates applying for Diploma Courses - The candidate should have passed 10th class or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE / other board with minimum 35% or 3.7 CGPA aggregate.

Test 2: For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (English), Modern Office Practice (Hindi) - The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.

Test 3: For candidates applying for Pharmacy - Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/ Biology (Botany and Zoology).

Test 4: For candidates applying for Lateral Entry - Passed 10+2 Std examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology ( Botany and Zoology) 
Or
10+2 Science (with Mathematics as one of the Subject) or 10+2 Science with Technical Vocational
Or
10 + 2 years ITI with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Programme. 
Or
10 + 2 years ITI with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Programme, etc.

The Department of Training & Technical Education conducts Delhi CET to admit students to first semester/ first year for the academic session 2020-21 for various Full-time Diploma programmes (Engineering and non-Engineering) being offered at Institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Delhi through the Common Entrance Test (CET- 2020).
