CUET UG Result 2024: After the controversy regarding the leaks of examinations like NEET and UGC NET, the scheduled deadline for CUET results is also getting delayed. According to sources NTA is considering conducting the CUET exam and may be completely shifted to CBT mode from next year.

On the demand of the students, NTA conducted the CUET UG exam for 15 main subjects in computer-based to hybrid mode. But just three months after the decision, there is a consideration to conduct it again from hybrid to online.

According to sources, the government believes that computer-based exams are safe because there are no formalities like question papers, answer sheets, etc. This can eventually decrease the chances of cheating and paper leaks.

Experts believe that there is always a risk of paper leaks in pen-paper-based exams. The biggest problem is big-level exams where up to 24 lakh students are participating. More than 11 lakh students participate in JEE Main, but it is safe because it is online. On the other hand, NEET UG is pen-paper based, which leaked the paper.

CUET UG Result 2024: Delay expected in admissions

Admissions in 261 universities are done based on CUET score, hence admissions in these universities will also be delayed. Famous institutions including Delhi University, JNU, and BHU are also included in this list.

A few sources also claim that in 2025, the CUET examination can be conducted again completely in CBT mode. Also, the process of preparing results in CUET is quite complex and the first provisional answer keys of 63 subjects will have to be released.

The UGC had requested NTA to conduct CUET-UG in hybrid and pen and paper mode in 2023 but NTA refused to do so in that year. After that, there was a change in the leadership of NTA and UGC once again insisted on conducting the exam in high-grade mode, and in 2024, a large number of students took the CUET-UG exam in pen and paper mode.
