Shedding light on the attendance recorded on the second day of the examination, Chairman of University Grants Commission, M Jagadesh Kumar said, 'The CUET UG 2022 exam took place at 247 exam centres across the country. A total of 27, 642 candidates showed up in the first slot, while 26,028 candidates in all attempted the examination in the second slot for the day.'
He further added that the exam was held for 10 subjects in both Slot 1 as well as Slot 2.
The highest candidate turnout was again witnessed at Delhi University, where a total of 635 candidates attempted the exam, out of 700 who were registered.
The following preparations led to the successful conduct of the CUET UG 2022 exam on its second day.
- The NTA had laid a control room, which was supported by 2 National coordinators, 18 regional coordinators, 161 city coordinators and 251 observers.
- A total of 5,000 cameras were installed for each shift to curb malpractices such as cheating, copying etc through means of live surveillance.
- In addition to this, Jammers were also installed at the examination venues to obstruct the practice of cheating by means of mobile networks. A total of 1,500 jammers per shift had been installed to meet the objective.
A major fraction of students have found the exam to be quite easy. This is because a majority of questions were aksed from the NCERT syllabus itself. In terms of length too, students found the paper easy to attempt, as most of the questionms demanded straighforward and concise answers.
CUET UG 2022: Next Exam on This Date
The Day 3 of the CUET UG 2022 exam will be observed on July 19. The first slot of the exam will commence at 9 am and end at 12:15 pm. Meanwhile, the second shift exams will be conducted from 3 pm until 6:45 pm.
