CTET July 2023 Registration Starts: Important Details

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started registrations for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2023 on April 27, 2023 on its official website, ctet.nic.in.

This will be the 17th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The last date to apply for the CTET July 2023 exam is May 26, 2023. The application fee can be paid until May 27, 2023.

The official notification reads, "The online application process will be start from 27-04-2023 (Thursday) onwards and the last date for submitting online application is 26-05-2023 (Friday) upto 23:59 hrs. The fee can be paid upto 27-05-2023 (Saturday) before 15:30 hrs."

The CTET consists of two papers: Paper I is intended for those who wish to teach classes I to V, while Paper II is for those who intend to teach classes VI to VIII. All questions in CTET are in multiple-choice format (MCQs), with four options provided, of which only one is the correct answer.

Candidates belonging to the general/OBC/NCL category need to pay Rs. 1000 for Paper 1 or 2, and Rs. 1200 for both Papers 1 and 2. On the other hand, candidates belonging to the SC/ST and differently-abled categories have to pay Rs. 500 for Paper 1 or 2, and Rs. 600 for both papers.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the CTET July 2023:
  1. Log on to the official website of CTET, ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on "Apply for CTET July 2023" on the homepage.
  3. A new page will open.
  4. Click on "NEW REGISTRATION".
  5. Register yourself by entering the asked details.
  6. Log in using your credentials.
  7. Fill out the application form.
  8. Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
  9. Download the application form and save it to your device.
  10. Take a printout for future reference.
