CTET has revised the eligibility criteria for the aspirants applying in 2019. The B.Ed students can now give CTET 2019 exam for Class 1 to 5.
The aspirant candidates of Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) are hereby informed that in compliance with orders of Hon’ble Court(s), the eligibility criteria are being revised as under:
The CTET 2019 is going to be held on July 7, 2019.
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) “(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher”.
The application from all such candidates who have passed their graduation with B.Ed prior to NCTE Principal Notification dated 23/08/2010 regarding the determination of minimum qualification of teachers to be appointed in school shall also be entertained by CBSE subject to final decision of Hon’ble Court(s).
Accordingly, the schedule of online submission of application form for CTET July 2019 is revised as below:
Last date for submission of online application: 14-03-2019 (Thursday) up to 23.59.59 Hrs.
Last Date for submission of fee through E-Challan or Debit/ Credit Card: 15-03-2019 (Friday) up to 23.59.59 Hrs.
Final verification of payment of a fee by the candidates: 19-03-2019 (Tuesday)
Online corrections if any, in the particulars uploaded by the candidate: 25-03-2019 (Monday) to 01-04-2019 (Monday)
(No corrections shall be allowed under any circumstances after this date)
In case confirmation page is not generated after depositing the requisite fees, the candidate should approach the Joint Secretary (CTET), CTET Unit, CBSE between 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. from 25-03-2019 (Monday) to 01-04-2019 (Monday) along with proof of payment of fee i.e. candidate copy of E-Challan, if payment made through E-Challan Date of Examination 07-07-2019 (Sunday) The interested candidates may apply online as per the revised schedule as above.
