CSIR-UGC NET 2018: Registrations to End Today, Apply Now
CSIR UGC NET 2018 last day for registration

The online registration process for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC NET will end today i.e. October 17, 2018.

Earlier the registration process for the CSIR UGC NET 2018 was to close on October 15, 2018 but was extended to October 17.

The interested candidates can register on the official website till today.

 

To test the eligibility of the candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET, the UGC NET examination is scheduled to be conducted on December 16, 2018.

The UGC NET will also determine the eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Educational Criteria

 

The candidates who are interested to appear for the UGC NET examination should hold an M.Sc or equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS with at least an aggregate of 55 per cent marks.

 

As for the candidates belonging to reserved category, the aggregate score should be at least 50 per cent.

The candidates who holds a degree of B.Sc(Hons) or equivalent to it as well as the students who enrolled in the Intergrated MS-PhD program with an aggregate score of 55 percent are eligible to apply for the same.

 

Age Criteria

 

The maximum age limit of the candidates appearing for JRF NET should be 28 years as on July 1, 2018.

As for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/(PwD)/female category, the upper age limit relaxation up to five years will be given and three years of age limit relaxation in case of OBC(non-creamy layer) candidates.

There is no age limit for LS NET.

 

Examination Fees

General: The application fees for the candidates who belong to general or non reserved category is Rs 1000.


 

OBC: The candidates who belong to Other Backward Class has to pay a total of Rs 500 for the application fees.

 

Reserved Category: The candidates who belong to other reserved categories has to pay total of Rs 250 for the application fees.

 

Examination Pattern

The exam will be conducted in two sessions: Morning and Evening.
 

The exam will be a single paper which will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
 

It will concern the subjects such as: life science, Earth science, Mathematical science, Chemical science, and Physical science.
