Amid the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19 and lockdown, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the UP PCS Prelims Exam 2020. The UP PCS ACF, RFO preliminary examination was scheduled to be held on June 21, 2020. The commission has issued an official notice related to this on its website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
The official notification reads, " All candidates are hereby informed that due to the nationwide lockdown to curb the COVID-19, the commission has decided to postponed the Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Pre Exam 2020 and Assistant Forest Conservator (ACF)/ Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Pre Exam 2020 which were scheduled on June 21, 2020, has been postponed. The new exam dates will be notified later."
As per the media reports around 6 lakh candidates have applied for the UP PCS ACF, RFO Prelims Exam 2020 this year. The application process for the UP PCS Prelims was commenced on April 21, 2020. Earlier the last date to apply online for the examination was May 21 which was later extended upto June 04. While the preliminary examination for the same was scheduled on June 21 which has now been postponed till further notice.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, UPPSC is conducting the recruitment process for the post of Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) and Assistant Forest Conservator (ACF), Regional Forest Officer (RFO). A total of 200 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment process across the state.
