The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has issued an official notification related to declining the AIIMS PG July 2020 Exam. The notification is available on the AIIMS official website at www.aiimsexams.org. The Institute has postponed the examination till further notice.

According to the official notice, the AIIMS PG Entrance Examination for July 2020 session has been postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in India. The decision has been taken in the wake of the country-wide lockdown due to coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website of the AIIMS for further updates. Candidates are also advised to do not believe on any rumours related to the entrance examination.

The online registration process for the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS July 2020) session commenced in the month of February 2020. 

The official notification reads, "In view of the evolving situation related to COVID-19 outbreak, the competent authority of AIIMS has decided to postpone the conduct of following entrance examination schedule in May 2020."

As the number of coronavirus cases has been rising day by day in India. The death toll in India has risen to 19 and the number of cases has risen to 873. The Coronavirus has come up to a serious shape in India and the measures are now mandatory to avoid a situation that leads to community spread of the COVID-19.

The new dates for the entrance examination and to download the admit card will be notified soon on the official website.

Exam Details 

All the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the entrance examination. The entrance examination shall be conducted through a Computer Based Test. The duration of the exam shall be 3 hours and will be conducted in one shift.

59.5% of the total Post-Graduate seats (15% for SC, 7.5% ST, 27% for OBC and 10% for EWS) excluding those for Sponsored/Foreign National candidates are reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) and EWS.
