CAT 2024 Registration: The  Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) will close the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) registration window today. Interested candidates who have not applied yet, can visit the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in. to apply for the same. The CAT exam 2024 will be conducted on 24 November 2024 in three sessions. 

This exam is conducted for candidates who wish to pursue postgraduate and doctorate programs at IIMs. The candidates may note that after closing the application window, the institute will open the application correction window for the same. Through this window, the candidates will be able to make changes to their test city preferences and upload the correct photograph and signature.

The CAT question paper will consist of three sections i.e. verbal ability and reading comprehension; data interpretation and logical reasoning; and quantitative ability. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. As per the exam pattern, candidates will be given exactly 40 minutes to attempt one section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another.

CAT 2024: Eligibility
  • Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 percent or equivalent CGPA.
  • Students from ST, SC, and PwD categories must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 45 percent mark.
  • If a candidate does not have a bachelor’s degree, they must at least complete a professional degree (CA, CS, ICWA, Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with the required percentage.

CAT 2024: How to apply? 
  • Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in.
  • Then click on the registration link available on the home page. 
  • Register yourself and fill out the application form. 
  • Upload the required documents and review them. 
  • At last click on submit and save the confirmation page. 
  • Candidates can take a printout for future reference.
