The CAT is an entrance exam for the admission to MBA/ PGDM courses in top colleges in India. The courses are offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM).
This year the CAT 2019 entrance exam will be conducted by IIM-Kozhikode. The entrance exam for the admission to management in the 20 IIMs and other top colleges in India is usually conducted in November.
The detailed official notification is likely to be released this month on July 28, 2019. The notification will be released on the official website of IIM, i.e., iimcat.ac.in.
The exam was conducted by the IIM once a year by one of the IIMs on rotation basis. Last year, the registration process for the CAT 2018 entrance exam was held in the month of August 2018.
The CAT 2018 examination was conducted by the IIM-Calcutta and the exam was held on November 25, 2018, in 147 cities across the country in two sessions. The Common Admission Test 2019 (CAT 2019) is conducted by the IIMs to fill seats in their PGP programmes.
The entrance exam’s scores are accepted by many B-schools including JNU. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification and read the important details like; important dates, application form, eligibility criteria, application fee, examination pattern & syllabus etc.
Common Admission Test (CAT) will be held on computer-based mode. Its contains subjects like Logical Reasoning (LR), Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability (QA), Reading Comprehension (RC) and Data Interpretation (DI).
