BITSAT 2019: Application Process Begins, Check the Details

The online application process for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2019 has been commenced by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

The candidates who wish to appear for the examination may apply till March 20, 2019.

The entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted from May 16 to May 26, 2019.

This entrance exam will be conducted for the admissions to various integrated first-degree programmes of engineering in the BITS, Pilani, at Pilani Campus, Goa Campus, and Hyderabad Campus.

BITSAT: Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted for three hours.
It will consist of four parts:

Part I which will consist of Physics. This part will carry a total of 40 marks.
Part II which will consist of Chemistry. This part will carry a total of 40 marks.
Part III: It will consist of (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning, which will carry a total of 25 marks. 
Part IV: it will consist of Mathematics or Biology, which will carry a total of 45 marks.
 
The questions for this exam would be objective type and there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer whereas each correct answer gives three marks.

BITSAT 2019: Eligibility

Education Qualification
 
The candidates who wish to apply for the examination must have cleared (10+2)exam, or have appeared for (+2) examinations this year, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
B.Pharm: The candidates who wish to appear for the exam must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. Candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.
 
The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.
