Bihar TET 2024: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced to postponement of the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 due to unavoidable reasons. The Bihar TET 2024 was scheduled to be conducted from 26 to 28 June 2024. The revised schedule will be announced soon on the official website i.e. bpsc.bih.nic.in. 

According to the official notice, “Hereby, in the order of Release No. PR 238/2024, in the context of Rule 4 of Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023, teacher candidates appearing in the Competency Test of Local Body Teachers, 2024 (Second), all District Education Officers, All District Program Officers (Establishment) and all concerned are informed that the Competency Test, 2024 (Second) to be held in both the shifts from 26.06.2024 to 28.06.2024 is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. 2. The date of conduct of the said examination will be published later.”

This exam is canceled as two exams were clashing on the same date. The Bihar Public Service Commission has also scheduled exams for the recruitment of headmasters on 28 and 29 June 2024. The Bihar TET 2024 exam is conducted for teaching candidates interested to get empoyed as teachers as  primary, secondary, higher secondary schools in Bihar and gain the status of state employees. 

The postponement of the exam comes against the backdrop of paper leaks UGC-NET and NEET-UG exams. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on June 20 said that UGC-NET exam was canceled. The CSIR-UGC-NET exam, which was to be conducted between June 25 and June 27 whereas,  UGC-NET June 2024 Examination was conducted on June 18.
