Candidates applying for the exam should have passed Higher Secondary examination from recognized Board under Government of India. Check Official Notification here.
IAF AFCAT 2020: Age Limit
Flying Branch: Candidates should be between 20 to 24 years as on January 1, 2021, i.e. born between January 02, 1997, to January 01, 2001 (both dates inclusive).
Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between January 2, 1995, to January 1, 2001 (both dates inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: Candidates applying for the post should be between 20 to 26 years as on January 1, 2021, i.e. born between January 2, 1995, to January 1, 2001 (both dates Inclusive).
IAF AFCAT 2020: Selection Process
The selection process of IAF AFCAT 2020 comprises of Stage I and Stage II written test.
STAGE-I is a screening test. Those who qualify STAGE-I are eligible to undergo STAGE-II testing.
STAGE-I disqualified candidates are routed back after the announcement of results.
If you are recommended by the Selection Board, you will be sent for the medical examination either at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi or Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru.

Training will commence in the first week of January 2021 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.
