School timings changed in Dibrugarh, Assam due to intense heatwave

School timings in Dibrugarh will be changed from today, September 21 for all government and private schools. Because of the ongoing heatwave in the district, instructions are given to begin the classes early, from 8:00 AM onwards.
The following guidelines are given in consultation with the District Commissioner, Dibrugarh

The following guidelines are given in consultation with the District Commissioner, Dibrugarh
- Classes may start and end early. Classes can begin at 8.00 a.m.
- Classes can be conducted inside the classroom and the duration can be reduced.
- Schools can allow students to wear sandals if they are uncomfortable in shoes, sashes or ties.
- Also, schools should ensure that all fans are working and all classrooms are properly ventilated. In case of power cuts, alternate power backups should be arranged.
