NEET 2024 Result Controversy: NTA organized a press conference given the growing controversy over the NEET UG result. The Higher Education Secretary of the Government of India is holding this press conference at the National Medical Commission (NMC) New Delhi office.

NTA has come under controversy ever since the result of the NEET UG exam was declared. There are allegations of irregularities in the results from all over the country, regarding which NTA is holding a press conference today. This press conference of NTA is being organized at the National Medical Commission (NMC) New Delhi office.

It was said in the press conference that "the matter of irregularities being reported is limited to only 6 centers and 1600 candidates. We had formed an expert committee and reviewed it. Again a new upper-level committee has been formed, which will review the report of the earlier committee (Grievance Redressal Committee)."

The Education Secretary said, 'The average marks of that center was 235. That means the students there were better and could have scored high. Even without grace marks, their average marks were high. But action will be taken against the centres where irregularities have taken place.'

'A committee comprising former chairman of UPSC and other educationists has been formed, which will investigate the NEET case. The committee will submit its report within a week. A decision will be taken after that.'

'Compensatory marks have been given on the basis of the criteria of Loss of Time. The committee will look into this matter and a decision will be taken accordingly. But the matter is only about 6 centers and 1600 children. Whatever decision will be taken, it will be taken only for them. There will be no impact on others.'
