Madhya Pradesh NEET UG 2021 Counselling has been already started by the Department of Medical Education, MP. This time, the last date to register for MP NEET-UG 2021 counselling was 21st January. The state merit list of registered candidates was released on 22nd January. The candidates are now waiting for the final seat allotment result which is scheduled to be released on 31st January 2022. Following which the round 1 counselling of state quota seats will come to end on 7th February with the admission of students to colleges.
This time, the ‘Seat leaving Bond’ for the MP state counselling has been fixed to INR 30 lakhs. The bond will be applicable to those students who resign after 7th February 2022 from the already occupied seat. This measure has been brought into the light so that no seat is left unoccupied after the completion of counselling rounds. The seat leaving bond consists of a sum of the amount which is required to be paid by the students if they resign from their already occupied seat after the deadline. The Department of Medical Education, MP will not charge any bond amount from the students if they resign before the given deadline which is 7th February. (End of Round 1)
The students are now raising concerns over the time fixation of Seat Leaving Bond. This year, the Seat Leaving Bond is applicable to the MP state students before the commencement of the MCC AIQ Counselling 2nd round. This means that the students of MP state will not get a chance of appearing in AIQ 2nd round counselling as they will have to pay the bond amount. The scenario for the other states is not the same and this is making the students of Madhya Pradesh upset with the decision.
