The Hindi Diwas is celebrated across the country every year on September 14. There are about 22 languages used to speak across the country out of which Hindi is the most spoken language.

While the English language is used to speak more than the Hindi language. But in today's world, many speakers of English wanted to learn Hindi.

Origin of both the languages:

Although Hindi and English belong to the Indo-European language family, they have differences in origin. While the Anglo – Saxon Kingdom in England are assumed to be the genre of the English language. 
The origin of the Hindi Language came from the Khariboli dialect – a form of modern Hindi.

Number of Alphabets:

The modern English alphabet is a Latin alphabet consisting of 26 letters, each having an upper- and lower-case form.

As agreed by the Government of India, the standard Hindi alphabet has 11 vowels and 35 consonants. However, the traditional Hindi alphabet is considered to be made of 13 vowels and 33 consonants. There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letter in Hindi Text.

Difference in Pronunciation:

As in English language pronunciation of certain words does not strictly follow the written form. 
However, the Hindi Language follows the Devanagari script. Hindi contains vowels, consonants, bars on the top of the symbols make them aloof.

Difference in Grammar:

There is a wider difference in English grammar and Hindi grammar. The English language has definite articles while Hindi languages do not have. Talking about the request; 
- In the English language, polite requests are expressed in the form of questions
- Subjunctives are used and the sentence structure is changed to ask for something in the Hindi Language.

Difference in Vocabulary:

Talking about the vocabulary, Hindi language is different from the English language because it uses the Devanagari Script. Also Hindi has adopted many English words which makes the language easy to learn.
