Hima holds the current Indian national record in 400 metres with a timing of 50.79s that she clocked at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta. She also holds the personal best records in 100m race which she had finished in 11.74 seconds in 2018 & 200 m race which she had finished in 23.10 seconds.
Hima Das is the first Indian to win a gold medal at an international track event. She has won 5 gold medals at the international events within a month. Here are some records of Hima which she has recently made;
- She bagged Gold in Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland where she has completed the 200m race in 23.65 seconds.
- Won a gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet in Poland where she has finished 200m race in 23.97 seconds.
- Bagged 200m gold at the Kladno Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic where she took 23.43 seconds to finish the race.
- She won the gold medal in the 200m race at Tabor Athletics Meet Czech Republic and the time taken by her was 23.25 seconds.
- Recently she won the gold medal in the 400 metre in Nove Mesto, the Czech Republic where the time taken by her was 52.09 seconds.
Hima Das was conferred with Arjuna Award in the year 2018. She was appointed as India's first-ever youth ambassador of UNICEF-India in 2018. Government of Assam has appointed her as the sports brand ambassador of Assam.
According to media reports, In September 2018 Hima das had signed a deal with Adidas. The company said in a statement that Hima Das will now be equipped with the best offerings from Adidas for her racing and training needs.
