In the light of the order of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. S Siddharth, now from Tuesday (25 June), teachers of all government schools in Bihar will have to register their attendance online with the help of the e-Shiksha Kosh mobile app.
Teachers will have to register their attendance online every day at the time of coming to school and at the time of leaving from school. However, this process of registering online attendance is being started on a trial basis. For this, at least one teacher from each school has been asked to register online attendance.

Bihar Education Department: New order facing negative backlash
Along with the teachers' union, teachers across the state are angry with this order from the education department. According to them, it is absolutely wrong to make it mandatory for teachers to mark their attendance online on e-Shiksha Kosh without providing them with a tablet or Android phone.
In this regard, Banka District Education Officer Kundan Kumar has said that teachers have to mark their attendance both online and offline for three months from Tuesday. Teachers complained that there is a problem in marking attendance online, keeping this in mind, they have been asked to mark their attendance both online and offline for three months.
However, it is mandatory to mark online attendance daily, so that it can come into practice. If any teacher or headmaster has any problem, they can contact the concerned District Program Officer or Cell in the District Education Office.
