Arunachal Pradesh: Vaccinated Students of Class 6 and Above Now Allowed to Attend Offline Classes

The government of Arunachal Pradesh has allowed the vaccinated students to attend offline classes amid the extended COVID-19 restrictions in the state till 14th February 2022. The schools have received an order to function at 50% capacity by following all the safety measures. As per the government order, students above 15 years of age who have taken at least the first dose of vaccine are allowed to attend offline classes. 


The state chief secretary, Naresh Kumar ordered shutting down physical classes for 5th standard and below till 14th February. Only classes 6 and above will be functional with certain restrictions, the order mentions. The COVID-19 restrictions in the state of Arunachal Pradesh were implemented till 31st January which has now been extended till 14th February with some newly added modifications. The colleges and universities are advised to regulate at 50% capacity and follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. 

COVID-19 Restriction in the State 

As per the latest government order, the night curfew will be effective in the state from 9 pm to 5 am. The commercial workplaces, shops, businesses have been informed to operate at 50 per cent capacity till 8 pm. The government meetings will now be conducted through virtual mediums and no visitors are allowed to enter the premises of the government office. The government staff are now required to produce their COVID-19 vaccination certificates in their respective offices to continue working. Additionally, weekly markets are told to be remain closed till further notice. This decision has been taken because mass gathering leads towards the spread of coronavirus at a high speed.
