SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to close the registration window for the stenographer recruitment exam 2024 today. The candidates who wish to participate in the same can visit the official website i.e. ssc.gov.in. to apply for the SSC Stenographer 2024 exam. This exam will be conducted in October-November 2024. 

This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 2,006 vacancies for Grade C and Grade D stenographer posts. The candidates may note that after closing the registration window for the same, the commission will open the application correction window on 27 and 28 August 2024. The candidates will be able to make changes in their application forms if required. 

To submit the application for the same, the candidates need to pay application fees of Rs 100. However, women candidates and those belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen (ESM) will not pay any fees. The last date to submit application fees is 18 August 2024.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Exam pattern

The exam will consist of three parts i.e. Part A, Part B, and Part C. Part A of the exam will be conducted in CBT format i.e. computer-based test, and the duration of the same will be 2 hours. While Part B will consist of a shorthand skill test of questions regarding English, 40 minutes will be provided to complete the same. However, Part C will check the candidate's service records.

  • Then click on the 'Know your application status' link available on the home page. 
  • Enter your login credentials and click on submit. 
  • The application status will be displayed on the candidate's screen. 
  • After reviewing, download the same for future reference.
