The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2024) session 2 from April 4. This will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT). The candidates must carry their admit cards with a valid photo ID to the exam centre.

Candidates may note that the JEE Main exam session 2 will be conducted in two shifts i.e.from 9 am to 12 noon and the evening test will commence from 3 pm to 6 pm. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours, however, an extra 30 minutes will be given for the JEE Main paper 2 BArch, BPlanning exam slated to be held in the first shift on April 12.

For the candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2024 exam, NTA has issued a list of guidelines to ensure the fair conduction of the exam. 

JEE Main 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: 
  • Candidates must arrive at the exam centre at least one hour before the exam and must not leave the exam centre before the exam ends.
  • No candidates will be allowed entry into the JEE Main 2024 exam centre after gate closing time and candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre premises before the exam concludes.
  • Students wearing any special attire due to religious reasons are advised to reach the exam centres earlier to undergo thorough checking and mandatory frisking.
  • The candidate must carry the admit card of JEE Main 2024, address proof for Jee Mains along with all the documents to carry for JEE Mains to the exam centre. A candidate who does not possess the NTA JEE Mains hall ticket 2024 will not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.
  • Before reaching the JEE Main exam centres, candidates have to duly fill out the self-declaration form, paste their passport-sized photograph, and put the left-hand thumb impression in the space provided.
  • Students must follow the jee main rules and regulations 2024 strictly as instructed by the centre superintendent/invigilators.
