VTU has postponed thier semester examination affecting 60,000 students
Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi, has postponed examinations of all semesters scheduled to be held on tuesday and wednesday following the demise of Minister for Cooperation H S Mahadeva Prasad. It will affect over 60,000 students.

The state government of Karnataka has declared three days of mourning and government holiday on tuesday. VTU was forced to postpone the exams.

The new dates for examination would be announced by the wednesday afternoon. Students are not happy by this because they have already prepared for these exams according to the previous schedule.

Many of the students are complaining because not all of them are from Karnataka and they also have to go to thier hometown.

VTU has online based examination system so students are questioning this step taken by university but authority is saying that they had to do this because of the government order.
