UGC BSR Fellowships 2017: Apply Before December 31, 2017

Applications are invited by University Grants Commission (UGC) for the UGC BSR Fellowships in Science.
The scholarship is for the outstanding students who are willing to carry out advanced studies and research leading to PhD degrees in sciences.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible, an applicant must-
Belong to departments of sciences, bio-sciences, agricultural sciences, engineering Sciences of the eligible universities.
Be willing to undertake advanced studies and research leading to PhD degrees in sciences.

Award Details-
Under the fellowship scheme, the GATE/NET qualified candidates will receive -

• Fellowship of INR 24,800 per month for initial two years as JRF. 
• Fellowship of INR 27,900 per month for remaining tenure as SRF (Senior Research Fellow). 

The other candidates will get-

• Fellowship of INR 21,700 per month for initial two years as JRF (Junior Research Fellow). 
• Fellowship of INR 24,800 per month for the remaining tenure as SRF (Senior Research Fellow).

Under the Contingency, the candidates will get-

• INR 12,000 per month for initial two years as JRF (Junior Research Fellow). 
• INR 25,000 per month for the remaining tenure as SRF (Senior Research Fellow).
