Haryana government today said under the new Teachers Transfer Policy-2016, only those teachers, who were above 50 years of age, would be posted at government senior secondary schools for girls.
"Any teacher who did not complete 50 years as on June 30, 2016, should not opt for girls'' school. Even if any teacher still opts for girls'' school, he would not be considered for transfer, according to the policy," Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said, reported PTI.
The state government had invited online applications from eligible PGT teachers working in schools for transfer, he said.
They were asked to submit their options for district, zone and school according to order of preference, an official release said here.
Keeping in view the demand of teachers, the last date to submit options has been extended till July 13 from earlier July 8, the Minister added.
