Amid controversyover her academic credentials, Textile Minister Smriti Irani had warned DelhiUniversity not to reveal her educational qualification details to an RTIapplicant.
While the CentralInformation Commission (CIC) directed the School of Open Learning (SOL) tofurnish all records related to educational details of the Textile Minister onFebruary 10, Information Commissioner Sridhar Acharyulu in December last year directedDU to records of Ms Irani.
The commissionasked the CBSE to allow the inspection of Textile Minister’s records from classX and XII boards. Her office and school have been asked to provide her roll number.
Challengingauthenticity of mark sheets, an RTI was filed was on the minister’s academiccredentials by Mohammad Nausdhaduddin, a resident of Dhanbad.
