Small intuitions have the potential to emerge as Presidency College, says President

President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said that small institutions have the potentials to compete with Presidency College and Hindu school.

“Many educational institutions, which were set up by the Britishers then for administrative purpose, have completed centenary and bicentenary. But completion of an institute like Jhalda Satyahama Vidhyapith established by local people is a big success,”said President Mukherjee, on the sidelines of the centenary celebrations of Jhalda Satyabhama Vidyapith in Purulia, West Bengal.

“I think small institutes like this have potential to grow like Presidency College and the Hindu School,”the President pointed.

 Referring to the teachings of Swami Vivekanada, President Mukherjee pointed out that of real aimof education is to become a real man. He also inaugurated the Martyrs Museum of Satya Mela Ground and appreciated the ideologies of freedom fighter Satya Kinkar Dutta who fought against the oppression and tyranny of British rule.
